John F Kennedy School Wins Civic Trust Award

Synergy are proud to announce that John F. Kennedy RC School, Hemel Hempstead was the 2009 winner of the prestigeous Civic Trust Award. The project also won both The Dacorum Excellence Award

and The Hertfordshire Building Futures Award.

The development on which Synergy acted as Quantity Surveyor and CDM Coordinator, houses a sports hall with state-of-the-art badminton facilities, art, drama and dance studios, a music suite with recording studios, and a learning resource centre. It was completed in February 2009.

The project has been praised for its sustainable construction, which included a biomass boiler and traditional land clearing methods, using old fashioned horse power!
