New Affordable Housing Highly Commended
We are pleased to announce that a project for six new affordable homes in Mimas Road, Hemel Hempstead was Highly Commended at the Dacorum Business Excellence Awards in the category of Building Design.
The homes, built for Hightown Praetorian & Churches Housing Association and constructed by Jarvis Contracting, were built on the site of a former Council garage court and were developed as part of the Dacorum Partnership between Hightown and Dacorum Borough Council.
To date the Dacorum Partnership has delivered 87 rented and 16 shared ownership homes on land owned by Dacorum Borough Council, mainly underutilised garage sites. The next phase will deliver a further 31 affordable homes on three sites.
Architects in Synergy’s Hemel Hempstead office have completed the design for the entire programme.
