Synergy drives ahead in the auto sector (ba dum – tish!)
Synergy was commissioned by the Caffyns group
to act as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and CDM-C in the redevelopment of the Land Rover site in Lewes in October 2010, for the first phase of the groups major re-development plans.
The project comprises a new double height showroom, including ground floor 6 car extension area, first floor mezzanine, MOT area and a state of the art car wash facility, implementing Land Rovers ‘21st Century’ retail concept and enhancing the entire customer journey – it is a flagship store for the Caffyns group.
Work to the existing showroom includes removal of the existing mezzanine and installation of a new glazed shop front. Major reconfiguration of the external areas is being carried out to provide extensive parking and areas for new/ used vehicles, including construction of a new 4 bay dry valet area. With a turnaround of 40 weeks, the project is due for completion at the end of January 2012.
With work in the automotive sector going from strenth to strength, Synergy made its first appearance at the Automotive Management Financial Conference in November 2011.
The day proved most interesting and the quality of the attendees, the conference programme and presenters where top notch and most informative. Expect to see Synergy at next years Automotive conferences.
So successful was the day that we are conscious we were not able to meet up with all of the delegates and over the next few weeks will be looking to put that right.
