Johnson and Partners
Johnson and Partners is a practice of Architects and Building Surveyors founded in 1961 and based at
Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, in one of the early Georgian buildings in Hemel's 'Old' High Street. Many
of these and other similar buildings have seen conversions and refurbishments under the direction of
Johnson and Partners, from which the practice has gained experience in conservation and listed buildings.
The two disciplines of architecture and building surveying, offers clients the combination of
imaginative design combined with practical building knowledge.
Our experience has included housing stock refurbishment for Dacorum Borough Council, hotel extensions
for various brands within the Bass group, the Dacorum Partnership programme of new infill social housing and new
residential developments for local developers, achieving some notably successful planning permissions.
In the last two decades, Johnson and Partners has built up considerable experience in school
projects, working for many schools in the Diocese of Westminster, St Albans and Northampton as well as other schools.
